Presidents Message

End of Season 2023/24

Greetings to all our valued members, supporters, and friends of the Kingsley Woodvale Junior Cricket Club (KWJCC)! As we wrap up another thrilling cricket season, I am delighted to reflect on our achievements and share the highlights from what has been an exceptional year for our club. KWJCC, the largest club in the North-West Metropolitan Cricket Association, has once again proven its mettle, showcasing a remarkable performance throughout the 2023/2024 season. With an above-average win rate, our players and supporters have much to celebrate as we look back on a season full of excitement, growth, and teamwork.

Our season began with a significant challenge as we transitioned to the new cricket management software, PlayHQ. This state-of-the-art platform promised enhanced functionality and streamlined operations, but, as with any major change, it came with its learning curve. The initial navigation was tough, with a few hiccups along the way. However, thanks to the collective effort and patience of our dedicated committee members, we swiftly adapted and mastered the new system. Their commitment and resilience ensured that our operations ran smoothly and our cricketing activities continued without a hitch.

One of the standout highlights of this season was the incredible success of our U15 Girls Maroon team. This talented group of young cricketers achieved a historic milestone by winning the club’s first-ever girl’s flag. This remarkable accomplishment is not just a victory on the field but a significant step forward for girl’s cricket at KWJCC. It reflects our ongoing commitment to providing equal opportunities for all
our players and marks a positive advancement in promoting and nurturing female talent in our cricketing community.

Congratulations to the U15 Girls Maroon team and their coaches for this groundbreaking achievement!
